Edouard Adzotsa contests leadership claims over FESYTRAC union

Edouard Adzotsa, a veteran unionist, has issued a formal right of reply to contest allegations regarding the leadership of FESYTRAC, the federation of communication workers in Congo-Brazzaville. The dispute follows a report suggesting the organization has a ‘double head’ and questioning the potential involvement of the Ministry of Communication and Media.

Adzotsa denies any usurpation of power, asserting that he has led the federation since its inception in June 2003, when it was known as the National Union of Journalists of Congo-Brazzaville. To support his claim of legitimacy, he has cited legal frameworks, specifically Article 185 of the Labor Code (Law 06/96), and historical administrative documents, including a 2004 labor inspection report.

The conflict appears to be intensified by rivalries with the Confédération syndicale des travailleurs du Congo (CSTC), which Adzotsa claims influenced recent critical reporting on the federation's structure.
