EDP Renewables reports near‑doubling profit and announces asset sales in Poland and Greece

EDP Renewables, the renewable‑energy arm of Portugal's EDP, posted net attributable profit of €183.7 million for the first half of the year, a 96.4% increase from a year earlier. Net revenue rose 2.4% to €1.421 billion, while EBITDA reached €513.6 million, up 14.6%. Cash and cash equivalents at June‑end fell 38.1% to €562.1 million.

The company also disclosed plans to divest two renewable‑energy assets: a 100% stake in a 166 MWac wind‑and‑solar portfolio in Poland, valued at roughly €250 million, to Public Power Corporation; and a 100% stake in a 58 MW wind portfolio in Greece, valued at about €120 million, to Faria Renewables. Both transactions are subject to customary regulatory and closing conditions and are expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
