Eduardo Gomes leads Tocantins Senate poll, Carlos Gaguim second

A Brasmarket poll conducted July 29‑31, 2026 surveyed 1,200 voters in the Brazilian state of Tocantins. The stimulated scenario shows incumbent Senator Eduardo Gomes (PL) in the lead with 31.7% of voting intentions, while federal deputy Carlos Gaguim (União Brasil) holds second place with 23.2%. In the same poll, Gaguim recorded 12.4% in the first round and 10.8% in the second round, totaling the same 23.2% overall. The poll, registered with the Tocantins Regional Electoral Court (TRE‑TO) under code TO‑02848/2026, carries a margin of error of 2.84 points and a 95% confidence interval. Two Senate seats are up for election in 2026, and each voter may select two candidates.
