Education Minister Stanković announces academic stability and salary increases

Dejan Vuk Stanković, the Minister of Education in a technical mandate, has announced that the new academic year will proceed without the disruptions or politicization seen in the previous period. Stanković emphasized that university autonomy is being protected through depoliticization and that upcoming parliamentary elections should not delay the start of classes.

During a meeting with school directors in Požarevac, Stanković also addressed the future of the education system, noting that reforms will focus on outcome-based learning and functional knowledge to meet changing technological demands. He stated that a goal of the ministry is to continue increasing salaries for education workers, noting that a public sector salary increase is expected in December.
