Educational infrastructure and resource updates in Costa Rica and Mexico

In Costa Rica, the Municipality of Cartago has announced the start of remodeling works for the gymnasium at Colegio San Luis Gonzaga. The project, involving an investment of approximately 1.303 billion colones, aims to benefit 2,000 students. The facility had been out of use for six years following a 2020 sanitary order from the Ministry of Public Education due to structural issues, including roof leaks and safety concerns.

In Mexico, the Sonora state government has begun distributing free school uniforms to 35,000 students in the Cajeme municipality for the 2026-2027 school cycle. The distribution process, held at the Manuel Lira García Municipal Gymnasium, includes clothing and footwear for both boys and girls. The state has invested over 1.7 billion pesos in this program to support local family economies.
