Educational infrastructure expansion in Congo and DRC

In the Republic of the Congo, the Société Nationale des Pétroles du Congo (SNPC) has announced the development of two new school complexes in Brazzaville. The L’Amitié complex in Bacongo and the Angola Libre complex in Makélékélé are expected to accommodate a combined total of 18,000 students. The SNPC reports having invested over 14.3 billion FCFA in education since 2023.

Simultaneously, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, President Félix Tshisekedi inaugurated three new buildings at the National Pedagogical University (UPN) in Kinshasa. These facilities, completed following a two-year construction project, include 14 lecture halls, an administrative block with 54 offices, and a scientific research hub featuring seven advanced laboratories for chemistry, biology, and physics. The project aims to modernize higher education infrastructure and improve learning conditions for students.
