Educational infrastructure projects expand in Togo and Gabon
New educational infrastructure projects are being implemented in Togo and Gabon to improve learning environments and accessibility.
In the Dankpen commune of Togo, the EPP Gbangbalesso primary school has inaugurated a new three-classroom building, an office, a storage room, a six-cabin latrine block, and a manual water pump. Funded with 36.3 million FCFA, the project was a collaboration between the international NGO Aktion PiT Togohilfe, the Kuhlmann family, the NGO ADEFE, and the Hedi and Hans-Peter Fasel NGO. The ceremony also included the distribution of school bags, uniforms, and bicycles to high-achieving female students.
In Gabon, a large-scale school complex is under construction in Nkoltang, within the Ntoum commune. Part of the Education Sector Investment Project (PISE), the facility has reached a 75% execution rate. The complex will span 2.5 hectares and include 39 classrooms divided between primary and secondary education. The project aims to provide a comprehensive environment featuring sports equipment, multimedia rooms, dining halls, and teacher housing to meet growing local demand.
