Educational initiatives promote environmental awareness in Europe and Chile
Educational institutions in Europe and Chile are implementing new initiatives to promote environmental awareness and sustainability among students.
In an international e-Twinning project titled ‘Turtle’s Dream’, students from the IES Miguel Hernández in Spain, the Liceo Español Cervantes in Italy, and École-Collège-Licée Sainte Catherine in France collaborated to study marine biodiversity. The multidisciplinary project used project-based learning and digital tools to simulate turtle hatching and teach ecosystem preservation.
In Chile, the Association of Municipalities of the Llanquihue Province signed an agreement with the Patio Vivo Foundation. This partnership aims to integrate environmental education and circular economy practices into local schools. The initiative focuses on practical experiences such as composting, organic waste valorization, and waste management to foster sustainable habits in younger generations.
