Educational institutions in Latin America mark major anniversaries

Several educational institutions in Latin America are marking significant anniversaries through community-focused celebrations.

In Río Gallegos, Argentina, the Instituto María Auxiliadora (IMA) celebrated 125 years of service. The event included a commemorative plaque from the Provincial Council of Education and a solidarity contribution to the Regional Hospital of Río Gallegos.

In Tandil, Argentina, the Centro de Educación Complementaria 801 officially adopted the name ‘Facundo Cabral’ during its 60th-anniversary ceremony, attended by local authorities and former students.

The Escuela Taller de Asunción in Paraguay marked 35 years of providing vocational training in trades such as carpentry, electricity, and masonry to youth from low-income sectors. The school was established through an agreement with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).

In Chile, the Vientos del Sur nursery and kindergarten celebrated 23 years with a community carnival featuring music, floats, and participation from local community networks.
