In Guatemala, the Colegio Alemán celebrated its 125th anniversary, bringing together multiple generations of graduates. Founded in 1901 to serve the German community, the school faced closure in 1941 following government orders influenced by Washington during World War II. The institution was later reopened in 1958 by the Alejandro von Humboldt Association for Education and Culture, maintaining a curriculum focused on multilingualism and German culture.
