Educational institutions mark centennial and peace milestones

Educational institutions in Paraguay and Argentina are marking significant milestones. In San Juan Nepomuceno, Paraguay, Escuela Básica N.º 174 'Prof. Margarita Cabral Centurión' is celebrating its centenary with the construction of a new commemorative entrance portico. Designed by alumna architect Sandra Arzamendia Ríos, the modern structure features a white cantilevered canopy, earth-toned stone cladding, and blue accents to honor a century of educational history.

In Esquel, Argentina, Escuela N°179 celebrated ten years of its status as a 'Peace Ambassador.' Recognized by the Rotary Club in 2016, the school has focused on strengthening school coexistence and empathy. The anniversary was marked by community activities, including collaborative games and the unveiling of a flag crafted from recycled plastic bottle caps by students and teachers.
