Educational programs expand in Udine and Emilia-Romagna

The Kaleidoscienza association in Udine is launching its fourth year of the ‘I Venerdì da Kaleidoscienza’ program. Running from September 18 to May 7, the initiative offers 31 scheduled appointments, including 16 free sessions, designed to engage children through science laboratories, games, and activities. The project aims to promote social interaction and scientific awareness, including exposure to tools like artificial intelligence. President Giada Rossi noted that the program seeks to address gender disparities in scientific skills, highlighting that 44% of previous participants were girls.

In Emilia-Romagna, the ‘Settembre Insieme’ pilot program has concluded with approximately 8,005 children participating in free extracurricular activities during the two weeks preceding the school year. The initiative involved 40 municipalities and over 140 educational institutions. Following the success of the trial, regional President Michele De Pascale announced that the measure will be confirmed for next year and extended to all municipalities within the region to support work-life balance for families and provide educational support for children.
