Educational programs launch in Venezuela and Ecuador
In Venezuela, 1,690 students at the Miguel José Sanz Educational Complex in Maturín received ‘Pequeños Ingenieros’ (Little Engineers) kits. This initiative, part of the ‘Semilleros Científicos’ plan, is a collaborative effort between the Monagas State Secretary of Science and Technology and Fundacite. The program aims to provide students with tools for learning about technology, innovation, and scientific development to reduce technological gaps. Similar kits were also distributed at the Jesús del Valle Heredia Valencia Sports Talent High School.
In Ecuador, the Guayaquil Municipality conducted the ‘Manos en Acción’ (Hands in Action) program at the José Miguel García Moreno Educational Unit. Approximately 300 students participated in activities designed to promote hygiene habits and disease prevention in observance of World Handwashing Day. Facilitated by the Municipal Drinking Water and Sewerage Company (EMAPAG EP) and health professionals, the session included practical demonstrations on correct handwashing techniques and responsible water usage.
