Educational research explores new learning models for primary school Civics in Aceh

Academic research from Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh explores various methods to improve Civics (PKn) learning outcomes for primary school students in Aceh.

One study conducted at MIS Lamgugob Banda Aceh examined the impact of using ‘word riddle’ learning media on fourth-grade students. Using a quantitative experimental design, the research found a significant increase in cognitive learning results regarding Indonesian national and cultural diversity after implementing the word riddle method compared to conventional teaching.

A second study focused on SD Negeri 1 Klieng in Aceh Besar, testing the ‘group investigation’ learning model. This classroom action research aimed to address low student motivation and passivity. The results showed that teacher and student activity levels improved significantly across two cycles, with student activity rising from 65.28% in the first cycle to a high category in the second.
