Educational science training initiatives launched in Argentina and Chile

Educational initiatives in Argentina and Chile are focusing on scientific training and pedagogy. In Argentina, the FCM UNCUYO has announced a call for 20 research scholarships for the 2026–2027 period. Aimed at students in Medicine, Nursing, and Health Technician programs who have completed at least one year of study, the program provides 210 hours of training, including a course in research methodology and project development.

In Chile, 14 science teachers from the Tarapacá Region have received certification for completing the “Science Education for the 21st Century” diploma. This program, part of the Scientific Inquiry for Science Education (ICEC) initiative by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the University of Antofagasta, focuses on strengthening critical thinking, scientific literacy, and the implementation of socioscientific projects for sustainable development.
