Educational workshops held for teachers in Nagaland

Various educational workshops were recently conducted in Nagaland to support teacher development and well-being.

The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in Kohima concluded a three-day capacity-building workshop focused on the implementation of Kaushal Bodh. This vocational education subject, designed for middle school students in classes 6 through 8, aligns with the National Education Policy 2020. The training involved teachers from 46 PM SHRI schools and eight District Institutes of Education and Training to promote project-based learning and practical work experience.

In Dimapur, Dimapur Government College organized a workshop on mental health and wellness. Supported by the Department of Higher Education, Nagaland, the event hosted approximately 60 teachers from various schools and universities. The session aimed to address increasing mental stress among educators and students caused by rising workloads and changing governance systems, focusing on practical strategies for psychological well-being.
