This performance follows a successful progression in his recovery from a hamstring strain and previous mechanical issues. Earlier in the season, Cabrera struggled with an inefficient arm slot caused by improper lower-body usage, which led to a decline in effectiveness. The time spent on the injured list appears to have allowed coaching staff to implement mechanical adjustments to his delivery.

Cabrera’s recent minor league outings show significant improvement over his early-season struggles, where he held a 5.10 ERA. The Cubs organization reportedly intended to evaluate this third rehab appearance before making a final decision on his return to the big-league roster.
