EFET recalls chicken roll product over salmonella contamination

The Greek Food Safety Authority (EFET) has ordered the recall of a specific batch of frozen stuffed chicken roll (brand “Yfantis”) after laboratory testing detected Salmonella spp. The product, produced by A & Χ Yfantis S.A., was weighed on 24 June 2026 and slated for distribution on 8 July 2026. EFET instructed retailers and the manufacturer to withdraw the entire lot from the market and advised consumers who have already purchased the item not to eat it and to follow return or replacement instructions.

The recall is part of EFET’s official microbiological safety program for 2026 and is aimed at protecting public health by removing contaminated food from circulation.
