Egypt adjusts fuel and gasoline prices
The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has announced updated prices for diesel, natural gas, and various grades of gasoline. These changes follow a decision by the automatic pricing committee for petroleum products as part of a periodic review.
New fuel prices include: gasoline 95 increasing from 21 to 24 EGP per liter; gasoline 92 increasing from 19.25 to 22.25 EGP per liter; and gasoline 80 increasing from 17.75 to 20.75 EGP per liter. Diesel prices have risen from 17.5 to 20.5 EGP per liter, while car supply gas has increased from 10 to 13 EGP per meter. These prices include taxes and transport costs.
The government aims to stabilize the local market by maintaining these prices for at least one year, operating refineries at full capacity, and settling arrears with foreign partners to boost local production and reduce import costs.
