Egypt advances infrastructure through urban projects and public-private partnerships

Egypt's Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities is advancing infrastructure and service projects through both direct implementation and strategic partnerships.

In Hadayek October, the city development authority has completed the Rifa'a al-Tahtawi basic education school, which features 55 classrooms. The project is part of the ‘Housing for All Egyptians’ presidential initiative. Additionally, asphalt surfacing has been completed on the R4 road to improve traffic flow and safety within the region.

On a policy level, the Ministry organized a workshop focused on public-private partnerships (PPP) for utility and infrastructure projects. Held in collaboration with the European Union and the Ministry of Finance, the workshop aimed to enhance the private sector's role in managing and financing national projects. The initiative seeks to leverage private sector expertise and modern technology to support sustainable development and improve investment efficiency.
