Middle East weather: Heatwaves in Egypt and Palestine, rainfall in Yemen

Multiple regions in the Middle East are experiencing significant weather shifts. In Egypt, a heatwave characterized by high temperatures and humidity is affecting the country. Authorities have warned of heavy morning fog on roads leading to Cairo, the Canal cities, and parts of Sinai and Upper Egypt. Temperatures in Cairo are expected to reach highs of 37 degrees Celsius, while southern regions may see temperatures as high as 41 degrees Celsius. There is also a risk of wind-driven sand and dust in western coastal and southern areas.

In Palestine, temperatures are expected to rise approximately 4 degrees Celsius above the annual average, with hot conditions in mountainous areas and extreme heat elsewhere. Residents are advised to avoid direct sunlight during peak hours between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Conversely, Yemen is preparing for increased precipitation. Weather expert Jamil Al-Haj predicts that chances of rainfall will expand gradually from September 7 through September 12. This includes moderate to heavy scattered rainfall expected in Hadramaut, Sana'a, and Marib provinces.
