Egypt and Cisco Systems discuss AI and cybersecurity cooperation
Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with Chuck Robbins, Chairman and CEO of Cisco Systems, to discuss expanding cooperation in information technology, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. The discussions focused on supporting Egypt's digital transformation efforts and enhancing technological capabilities through increased investment and partnership.
Madbouly emphasized the importance of stable frameworks to support Cisco's business expansion in Egypt and expressed interest in scaling up capacity-building programs. These initiatives aim to qualify Egyptian youth for international technological certifications.
Chuck Robbins noted that Cisco's programs have already contributed to the training and education of approximately 670,000 students in Egypt. He expressed interest in exploring new opportunities, including the potential development of innovation centers and addressing cybersecurity risks associated with AI models.
