Egypt and Kuwait set July 2026 salary dates and raise minimum wages
The Egyptian Ministry of Finance announced that salaries for public‑sector employees will be paid starting Monday 20 July 2026, with deposits made to bank accounts over a five‑day window. The new pay package raises the minimum monthly income to 8,000 Egyptian pounds and adds a 12 % periodic allowance, a 15 % special allowance for non‑civil‑service staff, a 750‑pound extra incentive, and specific bonuses for teachers and health‑care workers. Salary grades now range from 8,000 pounds for the lowest tier up to 14,500 pounds for top‑level officials.
In Kuwait, the Ministry of Finance issued a schedule for July 2026 payroll, also beginning on 20 July and continuing through 26 July for employees who miss earlier dates. The plan lists the ministries and public bodies that will receive payments each day and outlines payment methods such as ATMs, bank branches, e‑wallets and digital cards. A new wage package raises the minimum salary to 8,000 Kuwaiti dinars (or local currency equivalent) and specifies revised salary bands for staff at various grades.
