Egypt announces October 2026 salary and welfare payment schedules

In Egypt, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Social Solidarity have announced the disbursement schedules for October 2026 regarding government salaries and social welfare payments.

Government employees working in ministries, agencies, and affiliated bodies will begin receiving their October salaries on Thursday, October 22, 2026. The Ministry of Finance has also released the schedule for the following months: November salaries will be disbursed starting Tuesday, November 24, and December salaries starting Thursday, December 24. Payments will be available through ATMs and approved electronic payment methods.

Separately, the Takaful and Karama social safety net program will begin distributing monthly payments for October 2026 on October 15. These funds are intended for vulnerable families meeting specific eligibility criteria. Beneficiaries can use the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s electronic inquiry portal to check their eligibility status and payment details using their national ID and other required information.
