Egypt announces regulations and prices for 2027 tourism Hajj

Egypt's Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathy, has approved the regulations and procedures for the 2027 Hajj tourism season. The new rules aim to protect the rights of pilgrims and ensure high-quality service by establishing a clear contractual relationship between tourism companies and pilgrims.

Registration for the Hajj lottery via Egyptian tourism companies on the Unified Egyptian Hajj Portal will begin on September 4 and continue until September 27. An electronic public lottery for all tourism Hajj levels will be conducted, with results announced on September 30. The regulations emphasize that all services, prices, and accommodation levels must strictly adhere to the agreed-upon contracts.

Program prices have been set across various categories. High-end options include 'Camp A' at 650,000 EGP and 'Towers' at 580,000 EGP. Economic flight packages range from 270,000 EGP to 310,000 EGP, while land-based programs range from 230,000 EGP to 260,000 EGP. These prices do not include transportation tickets for air or land programs.
