Egypt automotive market sees new model launches and budget options

The Egyptian automotive market is seeing a range of new offerings, from budget-friendly internal combustion and electric vehicles to high-end extended-range electric models.

Several new car models are available for under 900,000 Egyptian pounds. These include the Suzuki Alto starting at approximately 535,000 pounds, the Proton Saga at 685,000 pounds, and the Nissan Sunny with prices ranging between 665,000 and 835,000 pounds. Other options include the JAC S2 at 775,000 pounds and the Geely EX2 electric vehicle, which is priced between 789,900 and 899,900 pounds.

In the premium segment, GB Auto has launched the Deepal S09, a vehicle utilizing a REEV (range-extended electric vehicle) system. The S09 is available in two categories, priced at 2.85 million and 3.1 million Egyptian pounds. The vehicle features a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine to generate electricity for its electric motors, which produce up to 485 horsepower. It offers a total driving range of up to 1,000 kilometers.
