Egypt denounces Iran's missile and drone attacks on Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Jordan
Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty issued a strong diplomatic condemnation of a series of Iranian missile and drone strikes that hit Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Jordan. The statement called the attacks a blatant violation of state sovereignty and a direct threat to regional security, urging an immediate halt to hostilities and respect for international law.
In a parallel phone call, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan echoed Egypt's stance, stressing the need to keep the Strait of Hormuz open for navigation and warning that further escalation could harm the global economy and energy security. Both ministers highlighted the role of the regional quartet – Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan – in coordinating de‑escalation efforts and monitoring developments in Sudan, Libya and the Red Sea.
Egypt pledged full diplomatic and strategic support to the four targeted nations and called on all regional powers to exercise maximum restraint to prevent a broader Middle‑East conflict.
