Egypt is expanding its food export presence in Russia, with approximately 20 companies set to participate in WorldFood Moscow 2026 from September 15 to 18. The Egyptian Commercial Service (ECS) and the Food Export Council are facilitating these efforts through seminars focused on market access, logistics, and product standards for items such as frozen fruits, vegetables, canned goods, and spices.

Trade data indicates a significant upward trend in bilateral commerce. Total trade between Egypt and Russia reached approximately US$6 billion in 2025. Egyptian food exports to Russia grew by 34.5 percent in 2025, rising to US$810 million from US$602 million the previous year. This growth has continued into 2026, with exports reaching roughly US$613 million through July.

Egypt currently holds the top position among suppliers of frozen strawberries, frozen vegetables, and herbs to the Russian market. Currently, about 172 Egyptian companies export processed food products to Russia, including 21 firms with individual export values exceeding US$1 million.
