Morocco heat wave forecast predicts temperatures up to 46 °C

The General Directorate of Meteorology warns of a severe heat wave affecting several North African and Middle Eastern countries. In Morocco, temperatures are expected to reach 44‑46 °C in regions such as Zagora, Tata and Ouarzazate from Tuesday to Thursday, followed by 41‑44 °C across other provinces through Friday, accompanied by strong wind gusts of 75‑80 km/h and local sandstorms. Similar hot conditions are forecast for Egypt, where humid temperatures will climb to the high‑30s °C across most governorates, with elevated humidity increasing the perceived heat. Lebanon is also slated for partly cloudy skies with a slight temperature drop in the mountains but continued warm conditions along the coast, and occasional fog on mid‑elevation areas. Authorities advise avoiding prolonged sun exposure, staying hydrated, and monitoring daily weather bulletins.
