Egypt faces hot, humid weather on July 7 2026
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority forecasts a hot and humid day across the country on Tuesday, 7 July 2026. Temperatures are expected to reach 44 °C in Upper Egypt (Aswan, Luxor, Qena) and 35‑39 °C in major coastal and urban areas such as Cairo, Alexandria and the Red Sea resorts. High humidity will increase the perceived heat, especially in the south.
Light showers have a low (≈20 %) chance in isolated coastal zones, notably around Halayeb and Shalateen, while early‑morning fog may occur from 4 to 8 a.m. over parts of the north, the Nile Delta and the Suez Canal area. Winds are expected to be intermittent, reaching 30‑40 km/h in many regions. Sea conditions on the Mediterranean and Red Sea will be moderate, with wave heights of 1.5‑2.25 m and occasional higher swells along the northern beaches such as Al‑Marsa Al‑Khubra and Alexandria.
