Egypt Forum 2026 to address public debt and economic growth

Egypt is preparing for the ‘Egypt Forum 2026’, scheduled to take place in the New Administrative Capital from October 19 to 24. The forum aims to address critical economic issues, including foreign currency resources, public debt management, and the national economic transformation program through 2030.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly emphasized that the forum will prioritize transparency regarding public debt to address public concerns. The agenda includes sessions on attracting direct investment, diversifying energy sources, and transitioning toward sustainable growth led by the private sector. The event will also cover social protection, digital transformation, and human development.

Preparations are already underway, with Cairo University hosting academic listening sessions to gather expert opinions on economic challenges. Additionally, the forum’s official website has seen significant engagement, recording over 10 million views and 50,000 registrations within its first five days, reflecting high public interest in sectors such as education, culture, and the labor market.
