Egypt Health Authority Accredits 31 Facilities Across 13 Governorates

The General Authority for Accreditation and Health Control, led by Dr. Ahmed Taha, approved the accreditation or renewal of 31 health facilities in 13 Egyptian governorates, using the internationally recognised GAHAR standards of the ISQua. The decisions include renewal for the Saudi German Hospital in Cairo and the South Sinai Hospital, as well as new accreditation for Smouha Hospital (Alexandria) and the Arab Contractors Medical Center (Cairo). Private-sector entities also received full accreditation, such as the Yomega Diagnostic Center 2 in Alexandria, several private clinics and pharmacies in Ismailia, and the Renal and Urology Center at Mansoura University.

Additionally, 18 primary health‑care units were accredited – two with full status (Marinab and Tushka West in Aswan) and the rest with preliminary status – covering locations from Giza to the Nile Delta. The authority said the expanded coverage demonstrates a growing commitment to quality across hospitals, private clinics, pharmacies and first‑line family‑medicine units.
