Egypt health convoys provide medical services in Fayoum and Minya

Health directorates in Egypt's Fayoum and Minya governorates have conducted extensive medical convoys to provide free healthcare services to citizens in rural and underserved areas.

In Fayoum, the ‘Fayoum Al-Khair’ convoy in Al-Azizya village examined 642 citizens across five specialties, including internal medicine, pediatrics, dermatology, obstetrics and gynecology, and family planning. The initiative also provided specialized services to 81 individuals through health programs targeting women's health, tumor detection, chronic diseases, and elderly care.

In Minya, eight medical convoys organized during September 2026 provided 18,609 medical services. These efforts, part of the ‘Decent Life’ presidential initiative, covered several centers including Minya, Samalut, Beni Mazar, and Abu Qurqas. The convoys examined 7,714 patients in various fields such as surgery, pediatrics, and dentistry, while also providing diagnostic tests, ultrasounds, X-rays, and health awareness seminars.
