Egypt health ministry officials inspect new hospital projects in Daqahlia and Gharbia

Deputy Minister of Health Hamouda Eid Al‑Jazzar toured the Talha Central Hospital in Daqahlia, reviewing emergency services, the blood bank and ongoing construction of a new building that will house reception, emergency, radiology and a blood bank. He directed the rapid start of partial operations within a week and emphasized increasing surgical volumes, especially orthopedics, to reduce waiting lists.

Governor Alaa Abdel‑Maati of Gharbia, accompanied by Deputy Minister Osama Balbal, inspected the newly built Al‑Sunta Hospital. The project is over 95% complete and includes 223 beds, seven operating theatres, 25 neonatal rooms and 17 outpatient clinics. The governor urged finalising remaining works swiftly to make the facility fully operational and improve medical services for residents of Al‑Sunta and surrounding areas.
