Egypt Housing Minister discusses major projects with CSCEC

Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Randa El-Menshawy, met with representatives from the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) to discuss the progress of major ongoing projects and explore further cooperation on large-scale developments.

Discussions focused on current CSCEC projects in the New Administrative Capital and New Alamein City, including the Central Business District and the Downtown towers in New Alamein. The Minister emphasized the strategic partnership between Egypt and China in the construction and urban development sectors, noting that CSCEC has demonstrated success in the Egyptian market.

Separately, Minister El-Menshawy held a meeting to review the implementation of the ‘Fustat Hills Gardens’ project. Spanning 500 acres in Old Cairo, the project aims to transform the historic Fustat area into an integrated cultural, tourist, and investment hub. The development includes an investment zone with restaurants and malls, a cultural area near the Museum of Civilization, and various recreational spaces designed to preserve the historical identity of the region.
