Egypt Housing Minister monitors Decent Life sewage projects

Egypt's Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Randa El-Menshawy, is monitoring the progress of several sewage projects being implemented through the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation. These projects are part of the ‘Decent Life’ presidential initiative aimed at developing the Egyptian countryside.

The oversight covers projects in the governorates of Damietta, Minya, and Fayoum. In Damietta, specific focus was placed on sewage treatment plant projects in Kafr El-Ghab, Umm Al-Rizq, and Kafr Suleiman El-Bahari, with capacities ranging between 5,000 and 10,000 cubic meters per day.

Minister El-Menshawy emphasized the importance of adhering to technical specifications and quality standards to ensure the sustainability and efficiency of these services. She directed officials to expedite the removal of any obstacles to ensure projects meet their scheduled completion dates and improve the quality of life for citizens in targeted villages.
