Egypt Housing Minister reviews national development projects

Egypt's Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Randa El-Menshawy, has been reviewing the progress of various national development and infrastructure projects across the country.

During meetings with the Central Agency for Construction, officials reviewed the status of 32 projects under the first phase of the ‘Decent Life’ presidential initiative, which focuses on developing rural areas through the construction of roads and hospitals. Additionally, progress was assessed for the first phase of four urban development clusters in Rafah and Sheikh Zuweid in North Sinai, as well as the Tilal al-Fustat Gardens project in historic Cairo.

Minister El-Menshawy also monitored development efforts in several new cities, including El Shorouk, New Minya, Borg El Arab, and Badr. These efforts include upgrading infrastructure, improving sanitation and beautification, and conducting field campaigns to remove encroachments and address violations. In El Shorouk, specific focus has been placed on road maintenance and the enhancement of green spaces and irrigation systems.
