Egyptian Ministry opens new Egyptian‑Italian pharma and health schools
Egypt's Ministry of Education and Technical Education announced the launch of "Egyptian‑Italian Pharma" applied‑technology schools, set to begin in the 2026/2027 academic year. Five campuses will operate in Cairo, Alexandria and Giza, offering a curriculum that combines classroom study with practical training in drug manufacturing, quality control, pharmaceutical supply chains and health‑care services. The programme is delivered in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Population, the Egyptian Drug Authority and the Italian Institute for Pharmaceutical Industries in Rome, aiming to produce technically qualified staff for the growing domestic and international pharmaceutical sector.
The ministry also opened the admission window for all applied‑technology schools, including the new pharma schools, dual‑education institutions and centres of excellence. Applications are accepted online until 7 August 2026 and will be evaluated based on secondary school scores, aptitude tests and personal interviews. The initiative seeks to align technical education with labour‑market needs and expand specialised training opportunities for Egyptian youth.
