Egypt metro offers discounted quarterly subscriptions for students

The Egyptian Ministry of Transport is providing discounted quarterly metro subscriptions to support students and people with disabilities. These subscriptions allow for 180 trips over a three-month period.

Subscription costs vary based on the number of stages covered: 150 EGP for one stage, 200 EGP for two stages, 250 EGP for three or four stages, and 300 EGP for more than four stages. A smart card fee of 80 EGP applies for first-time users, with a validity of approximately five years.

Subscription offices operate daily from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM across the three metro lines. Key locations include stations such as Helwan, Maadi, Al-Shohadaa, Ataba, Opera, Cairo University, and Adly Mansour. These measures aim to reduce daily commuting burdens and provide economical transportation for priority groups.
