The Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation reported on its efforts to support farmers and achieve food security during the final week of August. Minister Alaa Farouk engaged in several international diplomatic and technical meetings to advance Egypt's agricultural strategy.
Key international developments included discussions with a delegation from China's Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Pesticides and Pollutants (ICAMA) regarding the localization of pesticide manufacturing and technology transfer. Additionally, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Egypt's Agricultural Research Center and Argentina's National Institute of Agricultural Technology to expand research cooperation.
Domestically, the Ministry focused on human resource development through training programs for agricultural students and food technology specialists.
