Egypt Ministry of Finance announces August 2026 salary schedule

The Egyptian Ministry of Finance has announced the schedule for the disbursement of August 2026 salaries for employees within the state's administrative apparatus. Payments are set to begin on August 23, 2026, for various entities including the House of Representatives, the National Security Council, and several ministries such as Housing, Social Solidarity, and Manpower.

Disbursements for other ministries, including Education, Justice, Foreign Affairs, and Finance, will follow on August 24. Employees who miss the initial scheduled dates can collect their salaries between August 25 and August 27. Financial arrears are scheduled to be paid on September 6, 9, and 10.

Salaries will be accessible through bank branches, Egypt Post branches, and automated teller machines (ATMs). The Ministry has advised employees to avoid crowding at ATMs, noting that funds will remain available once the scheduled disbursement date for each entity is reached.

The announcement also details the new minimum salary scales following recent increases. For example, the highest grade receives 14,900 EGP, while the sixth grade receives 8,100 EGP.
