Egypt Ministry of Finance announces September 2026 salary schedule

The Egyptian Ministry of Finance has announced the disbursement schedule for September 2026 salaries for state administrative employees. Regular salary payments are set to begin on Thursday, September 24, 2026. Arrears and late payments will be processed earlier, on September 8, 9, and 10.

Disbursement will occur in phases based on government entities. For example, the House of Representatives, the National Security Council, and the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade are scheduled for the initial September 24 rollout. Other ministries, including Education, Justice, and Finance, will receive payments on Sunday, September 27.

Employees can access their funds through Egyptian Post branches or via automated teller machines (ATMs). The current wage structure reflects a minimum wage increase that raised the floor from 7,000 EGP to 8,000 EGP starting in July. Specific salary scales by job grade range from 8,100 EGP for the sixth grade to 14,900 EGP for the excellent grade.
