Egypt Ministry of Housing advances infrastructure and regulatory projects

The Egyptian Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities is advancing several infrastructure and regulatory initiatives. In Fayoum Governorate, Ahmed Omran, Deputy Minister of Housing for Utilities, inspected various water and sanitation projects under the ‘Decent Life’ presidential initiative. Key developments include the Al-Azab water station, which has reached 95% completion and currently operates at 90,000 cubic meters per day, and sewage lifting stations in the Itsa center.

Additionally, Minister Randa El-Minshawi issued 27 decisions to remove illegal construction violations in the North West Coast sectors to maintain urban planning standards. The Ministry also reached an agreement with the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development to utilize the ‘Information Infrastructure Center’ and interactive mapping for real-time monitoring of national housing projects for the 2026/2027 fiscal year. The Ministry continues to emphasize direct communication with citizens in new cities to address local needs and improve service quality.
