Egypt Ministry of Interior announces 2027 Hajj lottery schedule

The Egyptian Ministry of Interior has announced the schedule for the public lottery to select winners for the 2027 Hajj season (1448 AH). The lottery process will take place across various security directorates throughout the country from Monday, August 31, to Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

The selection process is organized into three phases:

On Monday, August 31, the lottery will be held in Cairo, Giza, Damietta, Dakahlia, Minya, Sharqia, Aswan, Suez, Matrouh, and New Valley.

On Tuesday, September 1, the lottery will proceed in Gharbia, Beni Suef, Alexandria, Qalyubia, Port Said, Kafr El-Sheikh, Luxor, and Assiut.

On Wednesday, September 2, the final phase will include Beheira, Menofia, Fayoum, Ismailia, Red Sea, Qena, South Sinai, North Sinai, and Sohag.

Applicants can attend the public ceremonies at their local security directorates to ensure transparency. Results can be checked via the Egyptian Hajj Portal on the Ministry of Interior’s official website or through a dedicated voice service at 0227983000.
