Egypt Ministry of Social Solidarity sets Hajj 2027 payment deadline
The Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity has announced that the deadline for winners of the 2027 Hajj lottery for civil associations to pay their program fees is Thursday, September 24, 2026. This deadline is necessary to complete executive procedures for travel and pilgrimage rituals.
Payments can be made through several government entities, including Banque Misr, National Bank of Egypt, Banque du Caire, or Egyptian Post offices. Failure to complete payment by the deadline will result in the opportunity being passed to a substitute pilgrim.
The Ministry has approved three pricing levels for the programs, which include meals but exclude airfare:
- Level One: 480,000 EGP (5-star hotels in the Grand Mosque area). - Level Two: 300,000 EGP (hotels approximately 750 meters from the Grand Mosque). - Level Three: 255,000 EGP (hotels approximately 1,500 meters from the Grand Mosque).
The electronic lottery, overseen by Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Maya Morsy, selected 12,000 pilgrims from over 66,000 applicants. Winners can check their status via the official Egyptian Hajj Unified Portal using their national ID and other required credentials.
