Egypt Ministry of Supply accepts ration card appeals and data updates
The Egyptian Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade is continuing to accept data updates and appeals from citizens regarding ration cards. This process is aimed at individuals whose cards have been suspended or who have been excluded from the subsidy system, allowing them to re-verify their eligibility based on social justice criteria.
Citizens can initiate the process by updating their information via the Digital Egypt platform and then visiting their local supply office to submit an appeal. Required documentation includes a printed data update form, copies of the ration card and national ID, recent utility bills, and specific evidence to contest the reason for suspension, such as income statements, vehicle ownership certificates, or agricultural holdings documentation.
To facilitate the process, the Ministry has coordinated with the National Post Authority and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to offer data update services at 500 post offices across the country. As of now, the Ministry has not set a final deadline for the conclusion of these updates or the submission of appeals.
