Egypt Ministry of Supply opens appeals for suspended ration cards

The Egyptian Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade has announced the continuation of the appeals process for citizens whose food ration cards have been suspended. To facilitate this, the Ministry, in coordination with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, has enabled data update services at 500 post offices across various governorates.

Citizens can update their information through the Digital Egypt portal or at designated post offices. Once data is updated, individuals must visit their local supply office or a developed service center to submit a formal appeal. If the appeal is approved based on established eligibility criteria, the ration card will be reactivated, and food supplies will be dispensed starting the following month.

Required documentation for the update process includes national ID cards for family members, electricity bills, marriage certificates, birth certificates, and educational qualifications. For those with disabilities, the integrated services card number is required. Applicants will be notified of the results of their appeal via SMS.
