Egypt Ministry of Transport updates metro and rail schedules for winter time

The Egyptian Ministry of Transport, through the National Authority for Tunnels, has implemented new operating schedules for the three metro lines, the Light Rail Transit (LRT), and the East Nile Monorail. This adjustment coincides with the transition to winter time starting at midnight on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

For the metro lines, the first trains from stations including Helwan, El Marg El Gedida, Shubra El Kheima, and El Mounib are scheduled to depart at 5:15 AM. The last trains vary by station, with departures from Helwan and El Marg El Gedida at 11:40 PM, and from El Mounib at 12:05 AM. Transfer connections between lines at Sadat, Gamal Abdel Nasser, and Ataba stations have also been adjusted to accommodate the new timing.

The Light Rail Transit (LRT) schedule includes the first train from Adly Mansour toward Arts and Culture at 6:00 AM, while the first train from Badr toward Adly Mansour departs at 6:01 AM. The last train from Adly Mansour toward Arts and Culture or vice versa is scheduled for 11:20 PM.
