Egypt opens new occupational safety career paths for health sciences graduates

The Health Sciences Syndicate has announced new career opportunities for graduates of applied health sciences colleges in the fields of occupational safety, health, and work environment security. This development follows the inclusion of these graduates in specialized training programs, in accordance with a Ministry of Labor decree published in October 2026.

Ahmed El-Sayed El-Debiky, head of the Health Sciences Syndicate, stated that these efforts resulted from discussions within the Supreme Council for Social Consultation. The goal is to expand employment opportunities by utilizing the scientific qualifications of graduates in new specializations without affecting their existing roles in health facilities.

In a related development, the National Center for Occupational Safety and Health Studies and Work Environment Security, an affiliate of the Ministry of Labor, has extended the application period for its professional diploma and master's programs. Due to high demand, the deadline for enrollment has been extended to November 12, 2026.
