Egypt readies July 2026 cash payouts for 4.7 million families under Takafol wa Karama

The Ministry of Social Solidarity will begin disbursing the July 2026 Takafol wa Karama cash assistance on 15 July 2026. The payment, amounting to more than 4 billion Egyptian pounds, will reach roughly 4.7 million families (about 17 million individuals) across the country.

Beneficiaries can collect the funds through various electronic channels, including bank ATMs, branches of the Nasser Social Bank, post‑office outlets, Fawry points, and the programme’s smart “Meya” cards, reducing queues and crowding. Minister Maya Morsi is overseeing the rollout and coordinating with governors and local social‑welfare directors to ensure smooth delivery and address any obstacles. The annual budget for Takafol wa Karama stands at about 54 billion pounds, targeting low‑income households, widows, divorced women, the elderly, persons with disabilities and school‑age children in qualifying families.
